ATCHISON: PROUD TO

Back in the 1870s the Atchison Foundry; Kansas supplied cast iron
parts for the steam locomotives that supported the great westward
expansion across America. Now an important Bradken facility, the
foundry has itself expanded into other industries, providing castings
for the Mining and Construction, Rail and Transit, Military (Army) and
general industrial markets.
Today the Foundry employs
over 600 skilled workers
and handles a wide range of
materials and configurations
in the production of carbon,
low alloy, stainless steel
and specialty alloy castings
weighing up to 55,000 lbs/
25,000 kg.
