PRECAUTIONS
Every Bradken site:
>
has procedures in place
to deal with the potential
situations on site;
>
regularly maintains
relevant equipment;
>
has training for employees
potentially exposed to or
dealing with these situations,
especially forklift drivers;
>
has equipment and clean-up
kits readily available to deal
with the likely situations,
including the ability to dam
up stormwater drains; and
>
has appropriate bunding
and security for hazardous
chemicals.
REPORT ALL
ENVIRONMENTAL
EMERGENCIES
TO SENIOR
MANAGEMENT
Each facility has a written
procedure for when to notify:
>
emergency services;
for example, police,
fire brigade, etc; and
>
environmental authorities.
TEST EMERGENCY
PROCEDURES
Where practical, emergency
procedures are tested during a
training session with simulated
exercises. Any minor incident
occurring during the course of
operations is treated as a test
of the relevant emergency
procedure and reported
and recorded as such.
DEALING WITH
THE PRESS
All communication with the
media is required to adhere
to the
