Kitty’s Story
Kitty began her job at Atlas
Global Services (part of
AmeriCast) in July 2007. Her
commitment, personality and
approach to her position
quickly earned her the
admiration of managers,
peers and colleagues alike.
In fact, Kitty displayed many
Bradken values even before
we acquired AmeriCast
in 2008.
The acquisition itself posed
many challenges for both
employees and management.
Some of the issues included
changes to work practice,
structure and roles as Atlas
employees and management
assimilated with the
American business and the
Bradken culture.
It was during this period of
flux that Kitty’s commitment,
drive for continuous
improvement and teamwork
impressed everyone who
worked with her.
Kitty’s expertise proved
invaluable once again
during a challenging period
for Bradken in China, when
she was asked, with no
notice, to resolve the critical
issues and develop the
Xuzhou foundry’s financial
and commercial systems.
Not only has she achieved
these goals, along the way
she has shown exemplary
personal integrity, teamwork
and courage, while at the
same time providing
invaluable guidance and
support for many people.
Kitty’s thoughts
on winning The
Bradken Award
It was a great honour to win
this award. Bradken cares
about people and that makes
people proud to belong. It is a
real joy to work with different
groups of people who not
only share that vision, but
also share differences. The
reward will always remind
me to strive for continuous
improvement as a way of
reflecting my loyalty to
Team Bradken!
I have been happily married
to Randall Marriott for 12
years. We live in Phoenix,
Arizona, with my 20-year-old
nephew Ben. I also have a
big family in China – both
my parents, three sisters
and one brother who all live
in Wuxi, Jiangsu Province.
In my spare time, I enjoy
playing golf with my
husband, gardening and
Chinese calligraphy.
