General Manager Human
Resources, Wayne
Herbertson said the Global
B2 Leadership Program
was potentially a “life
changing” journey.
“The course is about inspiring
people and giving them the
practical tools to become
leaders of tomorrow,”
Wayne said.
“It helps participants discover
what they are good at and
how best to leverage those
strengths for the team.”
Bradken employees were
put through their paces
during the inaugural Global
B2 Leadership Program
held in May.
Sixteen participants
completed the course,
which will be conducted at
least once a year from now
on to help inspire employees
to achieve their potential and
in turn, take Bradken forward
as an organisation.
Designed to help individuals
discover, develop and
achieve their full potential,
the course develops
practical leadership skills not
taught in business schools or
conventional classrooms.
The participants from
Australia, China, United
Kingdom, South Africa, USA
and Canada were thrown
into the unfamiliar as they
trekked their way through
one of Australia’s most awe-
inspiring national parks.
Various tasks were undertaken
to help individuals discover a
bit more about themselves,
what makes a great team,
what makes a great
organisation and the role
of a leader.
