The launch of the new GET
range was the catalyst for the
creation of a Global Supply
Agreement for paint. With
product to be sold worldwide,
consistency of colour for
branding became a priority.
DuPont was selected as
Bradken’s global paint
supplier, distributing to
Bradken locations globally
through CMS. The new
colour pallet includes a
blue
,
silver
and
orange
in a flat or
metallic finish depending on
the product line.
Representatives from DuPont
were on-site at Bradken’s
Muswellbrook facility, where
the first Avalanche bucket
was assembled, to assist
in the painting process and
ensure the best outcome for
the new metallic paint.
The Avalanche Front End
Loader bucket was
unveiled as part of the
launch of Bradken’s new
Ground Engaging Tools
(GET) and Buckets range at
the AIMEX 2011 tradeshow.
A full scale model of the
bucket, the first ever of the
new line to be manufactured,
was on display at the event
in September featuring
Bradken’s new global metallic
colour pallet.
Earlier this year Bradken’s
Corporate Marketing and
Global Supply teams joined
forces to implement a
Company standard for paint.
Though all manufacturing sites
had been using the ‘Bradken
blue’ colour, the utilisation of
a number of different suppliers
meant a lack of consistency
in exact colour and quality.
