NiHard is a well-established white iron product alloyed with nickel and chromium to give significant abrasion and impact resistant properties. The structure of NiHard is composed of iron and chromium carbides, fixed in a matrix rendered martensitic by the nickel content. This structure allows NiHard to be utilized in abrasive and high impact conditions found throughout the construction, mining, manufacturing and mineral processing industries.
Bradken primarily supply wear resistant castings, produced from NiHard grades 1, 2 or 4. Bradken can also manufacture other cast iron and steel alloys manufactured to specific chemistry, based on customers’ requirements.
NiHard can be cast into liners, billets and plates, manufactured to customers’ specifications, or supplied from our vast range of stock sizes to fit a range of applications, for example:
