The globalisation of Bradken’s key consumable product lines
has been a strategic focus for the Company since going public
in 2004. From that time on, the Mineral Processing Business
has continued to develop both through organic growth and
complementary acquisition and today is renowned as the
world leader in the design, manufacture and supply of mill
liners to the global mining industry.
With increasing market demand the business was uncoupled
from the Mining Products Division in order to provide increased
focus and greater autonomy for future global growth.
To facilitate this move, a new senior management team was
created to provide the required skills and resources to manage
and grow the business on a global basis.
The Division will be managed from the Newcastle, Australia
head office by Brad Ward in the role of Executive General
Manager – Mineral Processing. Brad has spent the last four
years working in various senior management roles in the United
States where he was responsible for the integration and
development of the Bradken culture in the former Americast
business (now Bradken’s Engineered Products Division) and
the expansion of Bradken’s wear products business in North
and South America.
In response to growing market
demand, Bradken’s Mineral
Processing business has been
combined into a separate global
operation, forming the
Company’s fifth
discrete Division.

In his new role, Brad aims to leverage the opportunities
available to the Mineral Processing Division in working
towards Bradken’s business model; “The creation of
differentiated consumable products for the resources
industry and the sale of their value to our customers.”
“With an existing global customer base the Mineral
Processing Division is ideally positioned to leverage its
opportunities and expand its business through the design,
manufacture, sale and support of its products locally in all of
the world’s major mining regions,”
“As a global business, the Mineral Processing Division will
now have transparency on key common issues including
product development and customer support programs,
and manufacturing capacity and capability, allowing for the
implementation of strategies that will ensure market leading
positions in strong and growing markets that provide solid
ongoing growth for Bradken through the support and
creation of value for our customers.”
