Metallurgist- Ispwich, QLD

Bradken is a leading solutions provider and global manufacturer of innovative, custom engineered products for the resources sector. It operates a global network of manufacturing, sales and service facilities employing about 3,000 people.

The Plant Metallurgist will be based in Ipswich, QLD, providing specialist advice and working closely with production and support departments to ensure all products comply with customer specifications. As well as being delivered on time through all stages of the design, production, post production treatment and machining processes, through to delivery of the finished product.

The Incumbent will provide responsive professional support utilizing advanced problem-solving techniques to ensure compliance with all specifications, and assist with the continuous improvement of site methods and capability.

To be considered you will have a Degree in Metallurgy or Materials Engineering, or another relevant Scientific field and be able to demonstrate:

  • 5 years relevant post graduate industry experience
  • Practical experience in application of quality management principles and systems
  • Experience in a Foundry / heavy manufacturing environment
  • High level problem analysis and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to describe complex issues in simple format
  • Proven ability to work in a multi-disciplinary and high performing team

Prior to commencing employment, you will be required to complete a psychometric assessment and a pre-employment medical including drug and alcohol testing.
