The Bradken team contributed to the successful launch recently of a new DDG 125 navy ship in the US. We supplied components to support this project from our North America engineering business and foundry, where castings were created for the DDG 125 ship during 2017 -2018.
Our team are experts in structurally exposed steel, non-destructive testing and understand the material strength requirements for projects of this magnitude. Our expertise was sought out as we are industry leaders with experience in small single node jobs to large projects, such as this one, which include hundreds of structural cast steel elements.
Due to the success of this project we are currently in production for the following components for additional ships. The components we supply include:
-Twisted Port and Starboard Rudder Hubs
-Anchor Bolster Castings – Multiple PN’s
-Deck/Shell Bolster Castings – Multiple PN’s
-Leading / Trailing Edge Castings
We strive to bring quality steel castings to our customers with reduced engineering costs and superior first article process. We use our vast industry experience and resources to ensure quality products are delivered to customer specifications. We can supply a wide range of castings, fabrications and machining services. We work with a variety of cast materials including speciality irons, alloy steels and stainless steel and have the capability to produce castings up to 25,000 kilograms or 55,000 pounds.
