Bradken was recently targeted by a phishing email campaign, resulting in the compromise of an employee’s email account and the subsequent sending of a malicious email to their contacts.
These emails had the subject [Employee Last Name][Employee First Name] dd/mm/2021, for example, Smith Bob 11/05/2021, and contained a link to a malicious site in this format:
If you received this email, please do not click on the link. Delete this message immediately and permanently.
Bradken takes information security very seriously and we ask that you remain vigilant in order to prevent any similar acts of fraud from occurring.
If you are ever unsure of the validity of an email that looks to have been sent by a Bradken contact, confirm the sender’s identity before replying, before opening attachments or clicking on links.
