Senior Demand Planner – Newcastle or Brisbane

Reporting to the Demand Planning Manager, the Senior Demand Planner is responsible for designing and implementing the forecasting and demand planning processes and approach for Bradken. The role will be essential to the creation and maintenance of a reliable and quality demand plan that can be utilised for supply and network decision making, ensuring that future customer needs and markets are met over the 3-24 month time horizon.


You will:

  • Work collaboratively to deliver a consensus demand plan that has alignment and commitment at all organisation levels
  • Interface with the S&OE & S&OP processes to optimise business and customer outcomes, proactively applying demand insights to inform decision making
  • Drive improvement in the quality and effectiveness of forecasting and demand planning
  • Be the subject matter expert for forecasting & demand planning within Bradken, training others and building capability organisationally wide
  • Be a skilled communicator with excellent interpersonal & presentation skills that engages others, and generates “excitement” within the team
  • Be required to operate effectively in a matrix environment across cultures and at all levels of an organisation, with strong advocacy for diversity and inclusion
  • Have a high attention to detail with strong skills in interpretation and analysis of data
  • Find and utilise external market data to draw conclusions to inform the Demand Plan

You will have tertiary qualifications relevant to Supply Chain Management; formal training in analytics/statistics will be viewed favourably, with extensive experience in demand planning for a global company, ideally in a manufacturing environment. 

You will have experience with designing and implementing forecasting tools and processes for a diverse suite of products and services. It is imperative that you have knowledge and experience in the practical application of demand planning and forecasting methodologies

This role will require some interstate and offshore travel but we are open to a Newcastle or Brisbane location.
