Bradken Expands in South America to Strengthen Mill Liner Supply – Construction Underway

This expansion marks a significant milestone in our global growth, supporting our customers by boosting our capacity to deliver more mill liners to the global market, and underscoring our commitment to innovation, sustainability, and community development.

Bradken’s latest facility, located in the industrial hub of Chilca, Peru, has been designed to meet the highest technological and environmental standards. It will have a production capacity of up to 20,000 tonnes of steel Mill Solutions per year, enabling faster, more efficient, and more sustainable manufacturing to supply both regional and international markets. Uilizing the largest equipment in South America and backed by cutting-edge technology that drives energy efficiency and minimizes environmental impact, our latest foundry has been designed with a goal of achieving 99.5% of electricity from renewable sources.

Our newest world-class foundry, dedicated to steel mill liner production, builds on the successful expansion of our composite mill liners at our Lima facility, enabling us to deliver a full range of locally manufactured mill liners to support all mining applications in the South American region more efficiently.

The foundry is expected to be fully operational by early 2026 and is projected to create approximately 200 direct and 1,200 indirect jobs, thereby making a meaningful contribution to local economic growth.

Designed with sustainability at its core, Bradken Peru’s new foundry facility located in Chilca, Peru will operate using advanced technologies to improve energy efficiency and reduce environmental impact. "Our goal is for 99.5% of the plant’s electricity to be gained from renewable sources, supporting Bradken’s broader target of achieving carbon neutrality across Scope 1 and 2 emissions by 2030."
