“Bradken is a pillar of the industrial and economic activity of Mont-Joli, and that of our region,” Mayor Soucy said.

“Our town’s economic vitality is closely linked to the Bradken foundry’s dynamic presence here.
“Since the year of the foundry’s inauguration in 1908, the Ville de Mont-Joli has always maintained strong ties with this industry and the different owners who have succeeded one another over the years.
“The company’s heritage also manifests itself in the sense of belonging felt by the citizens of Mont-Joli towards the foundry. Many Mont-Joli families count among them one or more Bradken workers, sometimes extending over generations.
“On behalf of my colleagues at the municipal council and on behalf of all Mont-Joli residents, I would like to thank Bradken directors for their generous contribution to the Amphithéâtre Desjardins project.”
Bradken Executive General Manager Manufacturing Sean Winstone said the partnership was just one example of Bradken’s broader commitment to supporting the communities in which it operates.
“We’re pleased to be able to partner with the City on the Desjardins Ampitheater project, continuing the strong relationship between our foundry and the people of Mont-Joli,” Mr Winstone said.
“Playing an active role in our communities has always been an important part of Bradken’s DNA.
“We focus on supporting sustainable development in the places where our people live and work, and in particular, we aim to support initiatives centred around the environment, education and health.”
Construction on the multi-million dollar Amphithéâtre Desjardins sports complex was completed earlier this year.
It features: • An ice rink sized to suit the National Hockey League • Seating for close to 800 spectators • A multisport hall • Seven spacious player rooms with amenities
Bradken will contribute CAD$15,000 over the course of the sponsorship to assist with the maintenance and purchase of equipment.
